About This Track

This track is inspired by a relationship I was in a few years back. It lasted four years. She was the love of my life at that point. The whole song is kind of like a call and response between our personalities. The beginning starts off with the playfullness and sillyness we shared. It quickly becomes seriousness, then moves into the sadness of the breakup. Then finally, the end of the track, is her saying goodbye, and me letting go. The strange vocal samples at the end, are some funny weird noises she made into the microphone one night.

wow that's a pretty good tune. sounds like it'd be a fucked up relationship, but it makes for some good listening. the samples and synths together remind me of Vibert's more laid-back and funky stuff. you could probably do without that last 40 seconds, though.

Seriously fun, and was neat to read the story *after* listening to the song. I second the Luke Vibert reference, particularly his "Wagonchrist" personality (one of my favorites.) I like the vocoded stuff throughout, and the filters throughout. I wish the toy electric piano sound were a little more interesting in the beginning. Either more quirky and weird, or even more toy like. RIght now it sounds too General MIDI for my ears. Great tune. Hugely original, kept my interest throughout for sure. Nice!

Also, same comment goes for drum sounds -- I'd like to hear them either more flat and toy-silly, or else more quirky and interesting. Right now the kick & snare sound just a little too GM for my tastes.

    loving this

ah! quite a treat on the ears! like the others i hear wagon christ, but this is different to me. i think my favorite aspect is the way you chose to portray the relationship. it seems like most people follow the "emotional, slow" trend. you deviated. great great great!
