- April 2, 2009Not my flavor of Drum & Bass. It's an alright song, but not hard enough, IMO(Bass is too soft or subtle) try compressing them so they have some balls. I'd give Dave Akuma credit since you really didn't do anything but use his loops most of the song. Try splicing and modifing them so it doesn't sound the exact way they came. I know because I have the pack. Most producers make or modify their beats so no one knows but them that they used a sample. Other than that, Keep up the good work!! P.S. Before you critique someone, think about what they should do to make it better, not insult them. Remember, TillThyDyingDay, a lot of people on here make music for fun and also to inspire the community, by insulting them, you've disrespected the very fabric of what the community was built on. To learn and teach.
- April 3, 2009were all here to get heard and since your name is big on this it makes good advertisement. i will always give my honest opinion be it educated or not as THAT is the purpose of music, to spark feeling and emotion, there is no right or wrong, only preference. your words of wisdom are very much encouraged and i feel youve also learnt by what i said. the problem with forums is they soon become popularity contests which i want no part of, critisism leads to improvement so thanks again for helping me.
- April 3, 2009No problem, and thank you for helping me. I understand what you mean about the popularity bollocks. I'd also rather not be part of that, it's more politics than fun. Well I hope to hear more of your tunes soon.

quote, tillthydyingday: "..the problem with forums is they soon become popularity contests which i want no part of.." Well, no problems there bro, from your first few obnoxious posts I'm pleased to tell you....you were never going to be in the shortlist for a podium position anyway...lol - April 7, 2009I agree with MorsMantus regarding the bass and that whole reply up above. However, sometimes I feel that less is more.. atleast in art, and I consider music to be an art, so in the case of 'Set in Stone' keeping the samples how they are works. I haven't heard the originals so I can't tell anyway, but I like how everything sounds together. Specifically your drum breaks As for some constructive criticism, I'd maybe try encorporating a sexy female vocal in there with an echo, that's what this track needs.. Love the sound Best, V
